Invitation to Artists
“Song”
Art Exhibit at Tompkins Corners Cultural Center

Saturday, March 14 – Sunday, April 5
Extended to April 11!

We are located at 729 Peekskill Hollow Rd, Putnam Valley, NY 10579
Each year, Tompkins Corners Cultural Center celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a program of Irish songs and stories that have been beloved for centuries throughout the world. This year, TCCC is expanding the celebration to include the visual arts as well. Visual artists are invited to participate in an exhibition of 2D art entitled “Song!”

The exhibit will open on Saturday, March 14 from 3-5 PM, followed that evening with a concert of Irish music at 7:30, featuring Brian Conway Brendan Dolan, two of the most celebrated musicians on today’s Irish music scene here and abroad. Because of their popularity, and the fact that both the exhibit and the concert will be widely advertised, we anticipate strong attendance at both.

The theme “Song” need not be limited to Irish music.  We welcome your interpretation of this theme in any 2D medium.  The number of works ultimately included in the show will depend on the number of works submitted overall.  Selected work will hang in our gallery from the opening between 3-5 PM, on Saturday, March 14 through 5 PM on Saturday, April 11.

A cash prize of $150 will be awarded to the artist whose work was voted by gallery guests as “Best in Show” during the exhibit.  Exhibiting artist fee is $10.

For more information , interested artists may contact  Kate Hoekstra at yankate2@optonline.net no later than Feb 26th.
See the prospectus for this show below

We look forward to hearing from you!
