Created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good -  it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.  Every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

 The Joy of Tompkins Corners  As you approach our historic building from a bucolic country road, you experience a warm, welcoming and intimate vibe.  Starting with our volunteers who help you park and continuing into the reception area with its delectable refreshments, you are part of an interesting group of folks who appreciate performances and presentations off the beaten path.  It’s a unique feeling to mingle and chat with neighbors and newcomers alike, while enjoying homemade treats. The performance space, with its high ceilings and rich and luscious acoustics, perfectly enhances the performances, whether a single musician, a band of many, or a staged reading by award-winning playwrights and seasoned actors.
Here we build community and provide opportunities for visual artists and poets to bring new work to an accepting and appreciative audience.  Here, we open our doors to established performers whose unique and sometimes disappearing art has a home.
